Host a Food Drive

Each year over 1,000 food drives are held by individuals and organizations in our community. They are critical to Food Bank for the Heartland’s operations. If you are interested in hosting a food drive, please complete the registration form below. We also have a food drive guide and a list of our most-needed items to assist you as you get started.

The Food Bank has a new resource to assist in the fight against hunger. Designed to look like a grocery store, the virtual food drive presented by Woodmen of the World allows donors to select items from the shelves as if purchasing food to donate. As items are scanned at the cash register, you can see the multiplying factor of the donated dollars translated into meals for the hungry in our community. It is easy for individuals and companies and very effective. An informational sheet is below. Contact Tim Bivens, Food Sourcing Manager, for more information at 402.905.4807.

On behalf of Food Bank for the Heartland, thank you for your support! By coordinating a canned or virtual food drive, you are helping the Food Bank educate people about the plight of hunger in our community and empowering them to make a difference by donating food and funds.

Your donation makes a difference in the lives of hungry children, families and seniors in our community. Here are some ways you can help:
